2016 In Review

Getting Ready

As I am wrapping up multiple details before my temporary USA hiatus, it is becoming very apparent just how much I will miss everyone next year.  It has also been a very busy year.  I finally got to the Grand Canyon (by way of Las Vegas) in December 2015 and it was absolutely amazing…and freezing!  During the same trip we also attended a Boyz 2 Men

Concert.  It was so nostalgic.  In January I met some other friends in Seven Spring, PA for a few days and since I am not a skier, and was worried about an injury when I was started a new job, I focused on the snow tubing. Guess what?  I still messed up my ankle when the heel of my boot was caught in a step.  In May I made my way up to Boston, MA due to a wedding it was fun. I got to revisit Boston again reflect on my upcoming Summer.  Early June I headed westward to Chicago, IL to work in my company’s office and visit a friend and make some new connections.  I absolutely love Chicago!

My next trip was not until September and it was a cruise to Puerta Plata, Dominican Republic with Fathom Cruises.  We were asked to #VacationDeep.  I was able to teach a community member English, and the next day I was matched with elementary school students to cover a chapter in their ESL

syllabus.  The final “impact activity” was to volunteer with a paper recycling company.  It was fun.

Finally in November I got to visit the the National African American Museum of History and Culture with friends.  It was amazing and I canimg_09111not wait to return.

The coming year will be a year of growth in both my career and personally.  I welcome it with arms wide open.
